Many patrons ask how they can help, and this page gives a simple overview of the ways you can give back. Every donation, big or small, helps us give back and continue service YOU &#8211; the heart of our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Donation Guidelines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We want to make donating easy and respectful of everyone\u2019s time and space. These guidelines help us process items smoothly and keep our collections safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Before Donating<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Please check with the library first<\/strong> A quick call or visit ensures we have space and can accept your items.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Preparing Your Items<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We <strong>greatly appreciate<\/strong> when patrons are able to lightly clean items before donating. We understand that sometimes this isn\u2019t possible. However, when you <em>can<\/em>, it helps us tremendously if items are free of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dust<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Debris<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hair<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cobwebs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bookmarks or loose papers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feathers (yes, we\u2019ve truly received books with feathers tucked inside!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or anything else that may make the item(s) less presentable or ready for use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Items We Cannot Accept<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Encyclopedias<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Items with significant damage (mold, water damage, falling apart)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Items with <strong>many<\/strong> missing parts or that are no longer usable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Materials that are outdated or no longer relevant today<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What We Accept<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We gladly accept items that are <strong>new<\/strong>, <strong>like new<\/strong>, or <strong>gently used<\/strong>. These donations help us expand our collections, support youth programs, and provide resources for families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accepted Donations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Books<\/strong> Preferably new, currently popular, or in excellent condition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Homeschool Materials<\/strong> New or lightly used curriculum, workbooks, manipulatives, and educational tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Games &amp; Puzzles<\/strong> Gently used items are welcome. A few missing pieces or light markings are okay \u2014 we simply ask that the item is still usable and enjoyable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Office Supplies<\/strong> Paper, pens, markers, folders, tape, and other everyday essentials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cleaning Supplies<\/strong> Wipes, sprays, paper towels, and other items that help us maintain a clean space.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New or Like\u2011New Toys &amp; Electronics<\/strong> Used for youth giveaways, reading incentives, and special events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Business Donations<\/strong> Local businesses may donate <strong>gift cards<\/strong> or <strong>merchandise<\/strong> for teen prizes, volunteer appreciation, or community raffles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Items for Fundraisers<\/strong> We accept a wide variety of items for our <strong>semi\u2011annual silent auction<\/strong> and <strong>annual yard sale<\/strong>, including:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Household items<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Handcrafted goods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Decor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kitchen items<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Most general merchandise <em>(We prefer no clothing items.)<\/em> As always, please check with us first before dropping off anything.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Other Ways to Support the Library<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Participate in Fundraisers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Joining our fundraiser events is a fun and meaningful way to give back. Learn how to <strong>reserve a space<\/strong> for your gathering or program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Special Event Requests<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Occasionally we request specific items for special programs or community events.
