Announcements

What’s new and upcoming in the Kids Korner?

What’s NEW?!?

Lego Club
Our brand-new Lego Club kicks off on Friday, October 16th, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Bring your imagination and get ready to build! You may bring your own Legos too—just be careful not to get them mixed with the library Legos so you don’t lose them.

Upcoming!!

Halloween Parade and Party
Join us on Halloween day—Saturday, October 31st—for our annual Halloween Parade and Party! We will all meet at the Riverhouse at 10:00 AM. The amazing Jimmy the Juggler will lead our parade march, followed by an absolute festival of fun including face painting, a spooktacular story, and a festive craft. You can also browse books from WordPlay Connects and grab some delicious goodies from the Friends of the Library, who will be hosting both a free goodie bag for the kiddos and a bake sale for all, including hot dogs!

And, don’t forget…

Preschool Story Time
Story Time continues every Wednesday morning from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Each week, a wonderful volunteer brings a fun story followed by a creative craft. This month, our Wednesday mornings will be filled with cozy autumn themes and “spooktacular” stories perfect for the season.

Library Explorers
Library Explorers had a great first session in September with our Science Lab theme. This month’s sessions will be bringing those spooky fun vibes! Kids will dive into Halloween-inspired activities like engineering spider webs, mixing slime, and making floating ghosts. Full details, dates, and times will be posted in our calendar, on Facebook, and on the main Library Explorers page.

Games, Puzzles, and More!
Don’t forget that you can also borrow kids’ games and puzzles from our dedicated shelf right in the Kids Korner. Plus, ABCmouse is always available on our computers, and we have plenty of homeschool resources ready for you. Stop in, take a look, and ask a librarian if you’d like to learn more!

Check out the library calendar below to see what’s happening next. Note: There is currently no filter option for this calendar, so all library activities will appear together. You can click on any listing to see full details and find out whether it’s a youth event or something for all ages.
