TnT Hangouts

TnT (previously Teens & Tweens) Hangouts will be back this September, and the best part? They’re now on Saturdays so everyone can join – specific dates and times will be posted in the calendar. Each month will feature the same fun but with the twist of a book‑genre theme, and you can even dress to match the vibe to earn extra Library Bucks. First up in September is Realistic Fiction with school‑day style — think “ready for back to school.” Future months will include fantasy, mystery, adventure, and more.

Rewards Store

The Rewards Store is coming in December — and yes, there will be plenty of items that you teens will love. Expect things like art supplies, novelty cups, plushies, wireless earbuds, portable speakers, gift cards to local shops, and more. For full details, click the Rewards Store link at the top of this page.

Upcoming Events

TnT Hangouts are back for the new school year — and now they’re happening on Saturdays so even more teens and tweens can join the fun! Hangouts will feature a book‑genre theme to keep things fresh and exciting.

September 26: 10am – 12pm

Our first theme is Realistic Fiction with school vibes, and we’re packing the day with activities:

  • Lit Reads Mixer — bring your favorite book and jump into a fun, fast‑paced “around‑the‑room” trivia
  • Craft — decorate your own book bag and bookmark
  • Dress‑Up Bonus — come dressed in 80s old‑school style and earn +5 Library Bucks
  • Library Bucks — attending the event earns Library Bucks, too!
  • Old‑School Snacks — juice boxes and classic lunch‑box treats

It’s a high‑energy mix of books, games, creativity, and nostalgia — the perfect Saturday hangout.

Check out the library calendar below to see what’s happening next. There are still lots of great activities planned for the last few days of summer. Note: There is currently no filter option for this calendar, so all library activities will appear together. You can click on any listing to see full details and find out whether it’s a youth event or something for all ages.

Upcoming Events

Teens, did you know that you can volunteer at the library?
Volunteering at the library isn’t just about helping out — it’s about being part of something bigger.

When you volunteer, you’re supporting your community, gaining real‑world skills, and making a difference for the people around you — classmates, families, younger readers, and neighbors who rely on the library. And yes, there’s plenty in it for you too. You can earn community service hours for graduation (20 required, and many colleges love to see even more), collect Library Bucks, have opportunities to receive local gift cards, and even add your volunteer experience to your resume.

Whether you’re here to give back, build experience, or earn rewards along the way, volunteering lets you grow while helping others. Check the Volunteers page on how you can be a part and get started.
